Regarding: Rae Sturt and his construction team. To whom it may concern, In the 1970s and early 1980s I was General Manager of Foundation Company of Canada (B.C. division) one of the largest Construction/Engineering firms in Canada, with over 600 employees. In addition, over the last 28+ years I have been President of International Marine Floatation Systems (IMFS) in Vancouver, BC, Canada, specializing in construction of floating buildings. I have seen and done my fair share of construction over the years and over time, I have received many requests for letters of reference from employees. Re: Letter of Reference for Mr. Rae Sturt of Rae Sturt Contracting To whom it may concern, Rae Sturt Contracting has worked with Canadian Forest Products Ltd. since 1987 in a contractor role. I first met Rae Sturt in my role as a supervisor for Canadian Forest Products Ltd., moving a 100 man camp from one remote location to a new remote location. This job was a short notice, emergency job, which I had employed several contractors to help accomplish the task on time. It did not take very long for me to realize Rae Sturt Contracting was the contractor which stood out amongst the others.  It was a great pleasure working with you on the Dorval project. I came to appreciate the extra care and attention you gave to detail and extraordinary workmanship while working for Mr. Dorval. All Engineers wish for contractors like you on their projects. It removes all concern that what can't be seen at the end of the day is done with anything less than perfection. One of the testaments to your good work is that during the launch and trip to Queensborough Island, I am told, not one crack appeared in the drywall. Drywall will tell you right away if anything is amiss in the structure. If you ever need a reference or testament to your skill and workmanship please feel free to offer my name on your behalf.
